"When Greed Replaces Mission" by Shane C. Montgomery

This blog will no longer endorse, encourage or link to Living Waters ministry. I will be removing anything related to them. I do this because they continue to align with Trinity Broadcasting Network (TB) which is a "Pay For Pray" scam and not a legitimate God fearing, Christ serving ministry, they promote their own financial gain over in place of promoting the life giving message of the Gospel. So, in continuing to promote Living Waters I would be promoting TBN and I cannot in good conscience live with that.
At one time I held a deep respect for the Way of the Master but over the past couple of years they have chosen to resort to charging for their TV series as well as their Wretched podcast. If this was not enough and it should be, their continued partnership with TBN is the last straw so to speak, by joining with Satan's Broadcasting Network of Lies this tells the Christian community that they stand on a doctrine, but it is a doctrine of who writes the biggest checks!
I pray that this once great ministry can return to its original mission, that of teaching believers to witness in a Bold manner. Money isn't everything, and remember, your checkbook will not be honored in God's heaven.
I understand that by pulling support of this ministry it will have little to no effect on them whatsoever, but this is not the point, it is not my intention to damage this once great ministry, but only that I remain faithful to Christ and to turn from the things of the World and the prince of this world. It is my conscience and my conscience says to love Christ and promote the Gospel, not greedy ministries who have sold out.
Be Holy!

Hmm, that's a worry as, like you, I've no wish to support TBN, BUT, only a few days ago I bought 300 Living Waters tracts (and a book!)because the Law/Gospel message seems clearer than in the alternatives. So, what to do when I run out and need to replace them? Still, your post is a timely reminder of the sin of pride over buying tracts!
Tracts are only as effective as God allows them to be. "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17
Tracts are great, but they are not a replacement for sitting under the preaching of His Word, inviting people to church and allowing them to sit under the preaching of God's Word is the very best way, not that most people will accept the invite, but once again, this is all brought on by a sovereign God who chooses.
Most will not accompany you to worship and this is where we are to witness, we at times let the tracts do most of the work and we take the easy way out. Tracts are great icebreakers, this is truly the point, let His Spirit use the vessel that is you to convey the Gospel.
My point is that sometimes tracts can get in the way and we should be careful how we use them, but they are often helpful, for good tracts try www.customtractsource.com these guys often pay out of pocket to get tracts to people, something LW would never do! As far as books go, their are dozens of sites that offer better books and much, much cheaper.
Thanks for the comment and may God bless you in your faithful service!
