" If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. These things command and teach. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.  Yep, that's me.  Spending another Friday night reading and blogging.  I would like to wish everyone a great weekend!  I know Christmas is only two weeks away and we all have tons to get done, gift buying, wrapping, snow shoveling, and not to mention the extra activities most local churches add to this time of year, youth group plays, soup kitchens and the like but please try to make a little time in all the hustle and bustle of Christmas time to share the Gospel.


The greatest gift you can give anyone is the Good News of Jesus Christ.   So before you head out to the mall, grab a handful of tracts and hand some out while you are doing your shopping, give one to the cashier and one to the bagger, put a tract in the Christmas cards you have yet to mail!  (Better get on that!)  How about the waitress who will be waiting on you this evening?  Or the person who buses the dirty tables after you eat?   Or you can do like I do and stand outside the store near the doors and hand one out to folks as the enter and leave the store, however you do it, is fine. 


Just please try to remember the reason for the season and share Christ with as many as you can!
